It was late October and my mind was mulling over an idea. One that we had contemplated for years but never acted on. A milestone in my career was a few days away and at one time I thought that might be the time. Still the idea mulled around and we were doing some serious soul-searching. Then a few days’ later an even occurred which I realized would eventually trigger several more events which would ultimately prevent us from carrying out our plans for the urban farm without a legal battle. The idea became a reality as we reached out to Team Clayton.
We took a leap of faith and put the urban farm up for sale with no idea where this adventure would take us. Yes, our faith was extremely tested over the next 5 to 6 months as we prepared the house for sale and tried to find a new place. Finally, at the end of March we reunited as a family and took possession of our new place. A beautiful two acre plot at the base of the White Tank Mountains with a house built-in the late 1980’s. A place we could live out our dream. Thus began the adventures of the urban farm family moving to a country homestead.
