We interrupt the normal blogging schedule (that doesn’t exist) and bring you a news flash regarding recent developments on the micro-farm.
The micro-farm is going to the birds, literally.
A trip to the bird mart sponsored by the Arizona Aviculture Society, resulted in eighteen 3-day-old jumbo coturnix quail being added to the farm. My one daughter has wanted to raise quail for some time. After a long trip across town, we arrived home to attempt to put together a broader for the baby quail.
The real question is how many can we keep alive?
One of our dreams is to build an aviary on the micro-farm with natural habitat for finches and quail. Granted that is probably a couple of years away, but my one daughter wanted to start raising finches before then.
The unexpected result of the new additions, one very jealous dog 🙁
