Welcome to our website! Pull up a chair and join us for some ice tea as you explore our micro-farm.
We are an urban farm family who moved out of the city in April, 2017 to create a homestead on 2 acres of property at the base of the White Tank Mountains using permaculture design principles.
Why the name Arizona Urban Ark? “Arizona represents the state and reflect our niche of working in the Sonoran desert. “Urban” we are urban farmers and our location while in the country is just on the outskirts of the urban hub. “Ark” is for preserving, since we specialize in raising rare and open pollinated plants and plan to focus on heritage breed animals.
Our experiment at urban farming has now turned into an adventure. Join us as we face the challenge of adapting to the country and using our urban farm skills to turn our 2 acres into a food forest along with a place to raise animals.
